I’ll be on the air tonight from 9-10 p.m. with fellow Maryland students Scott Kornberg and Matt Castello. Just click here to get to the WMUC Sports home page and then click on “Listen Live” in the upper-right hand corner. We’ll probably be talking about the Super Bowl and Maryland basketball for the most part. Call in with your thoughts on anything involving sports at 301-314-9979.

I’m interested in hearing about how the Olympics work the hockey games … do you have good suggestions as to where I can access that info?
—————————————————————-
There’s one more week of NHL games before the Olympic break starts on Sunday. The Capitals play three more games — Wednesday in Montreal, Thursday in Ottawa, and Saturday in St. Louis. After that, the NHLers who are Olympians go to Vancouver and those who are not go their separate ways. I’d imagine some go on a long vacation or just go back home. As for the actual Olympic hockey, it’s some of the best hockey you’ll see. It’s a different type of game than in the NHL — less physical and more wide open. Unbelievable skills on display. 12 countries play in the tournament. The tournament starts next Tuesday with preliminary games and ends on Sunday, Feb. 28 with the gold medal game. You can check out the entire schedule here.
Thank you, this information is much appreciated. The site is exactly what I was looking for … I may also help myself to a screening of MIRACLE to help prep!
