Congratulations to Morgan State on a great season and a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title.
West Virginia just happens to be a really good team, as second seed West Virginia beat 15th-seed Morgan State, 77-50. Morgan State actually led, 10-0, to start the game, and 15-5, later on. But reality tends to set in for a team like Morgan State once each team’s bench becomes a factor in the game. A top team’s depth can wear out an upstart team like Morgan.
And Temple…so frustrating. This might be the last year I’m on their bandwagon. The past three years, I’ve picked them to go to the Sweet 16. Each time, they lose handily in the first round.
I’m not too happy with Temple right now.
Equally frustrating is that the popular upset pick was Cornell over Temple, and I didn’t follow the trend.
Fellow Atlantic 10 team Xavier took care of Minnesota in impressive fashion, though. I have Xavier beating Pittsburgh in the next round.
